Sydney Head and Neck Cancer Institute
The Sydney Head and Neck Cancer Institute (SHNCI) was established in 2002 to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art treatment to patients with cancers and diseases of the head and neck.
The Institute brings together over 40 highly skilled medical and allied health professionals including surgeons, radiation and medical oncologists, dental specialists, speech therapists, specialist nurses and dieticians, along with research scientists and data managers.
The goals of the SHNCI are:
- To provide comprehensive, world leading care for patients with tumours and cancers of the head and neck
- To carry out clinical and basic research aimed at improving treatment outcomes
- To contribute to and facilitate the education of medical, nursing and allied health staff
- To collect high quality prospective clinical data and to collaborate with other multidisciplinary head and neck centers in data collection and research.
We rely heavily on donations to continue our work.
