Bravehearts is a registered charity providing child focused healing and preventative strategies including therapeutic, education, and research programs as well as, advocating for ‘better informed’ government and system responses. Founded in 1997 by Hetty Johnston in response to disclosures of child sexual assault in her own family. We believe that the provision of effective care to sexually assaulted children and their non-offending families together with effective prevention, early intervention and increased community awareness will provide the fundamental cornerstone necessary to a healthy society.
