Clown Doctors/The Humour Foundation
Working in partnership with medical professionals, Clown Doctors have been bringing a very special kind of medicine in the form of humour to children and their families in hospitals around Australia for 10 years. The Humour Foundation provides this service free of charge to hospitals and thanks to corporate and community funding can continue to bring smiles to where they are needed most. Everyone in the hospital environment benefits from a visit of the Clown Doctors including the staff (who are treated to funny bone checks and relaxing back massages) before the Clown Doctors continue on their "rounds". All Clown Doctors are theatrical performers and are highly trained by Jean Paul Bell, Creative Director of The Humour Foundation. They are chosen not only for their performance skills but their ability to adapt to any situation they encounter. Clown Doctors help to make the hospital experience less frightening for children and parents alike. Your donation will greatly assist us.
