SBH Queensland : Spina Bifida Service Development Appeal Spina bifida is a complex condition affecting the central nervous system which arises in the first few weeks of pregnancy. SBH Queensland supports over 600 people with spina bifida in Queensland. The first contact is often from worried parents anxious for information and advice after having been told that the baby they are expecting has spina bifida. The association continues to provide support, information and therapy to families and adults so they can enjoy fulfilling lives and contribute to society.
