 Greenfleet Greenfleet is a registered environmental charity, encouraging people to avoid and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and then offset any remaining emissions by planting native forests. With the help of Greenfleet’s voluntary offset program, you can easily reduce your car’s impact on the environment. For $51 (tax deductible), Greenfleet will plant 17 native trees on your behalf. These trees will help to create a forest, and as they grow will absorb the greenhouse gases generated by driving the average Australian car for one year. The resulting forests will also tackle salinity, reduce soil erosion, improve water quality and provide essential habitat for native wildlife. Greenfleet also plants native forests to offset the emissions generated by air travel, household and business energy use. Greenfleet is an Approved Abatement Provider under the Australian Government's Greenhouse Friendly™ initiative. This means the methodology behind our offset program has undergone independent scrutiny and meets appropriate standards. Since 1997, Greenfleet has planted over 6 million trees on behalf of Australian motorists and businesses. These trees will capture more than 1.6 million CO2-e tonnes as they grow, forming permanent forests and creating an investment in rural Australia for future generations.
