Headache Australia
Headache Australia is an initiative of the Brain Foundation which was set up specifically to help those suffering from migraines and chronic headaches. Headache Australia is building a National Information Network of people suffering from migraines and chronic headaches.
Headache Australia seeks to raise awareness and educate the community on the incidence and impact of chronic headaches and migraines in the community. Chronic headaches and migraines impact on individuals, their families and the whole community through lost productivity. The cost of chronic headache and migraines to the community is high and often underrated.
Million’s of Australians suffer from severe headaches and migraines each year. At the Brain Foundation we are supporting those sufferers through research and education. Each year the Brain Foundation funds research into chronic headaches and migraines, however we believe that the funding is not enough for this complex area of neurology. To increase awareness and research funding for chronic headaches and migraines, Headache Australia is compiling a register of chronic headache and migraine sufferers. This register will be used to gain more funding for chronic headache and migraine research to end the suffering and reliance on medication. You can register your suffering by completing the questionnaire on www.headacheaustralia.org.au and we will keep you informed about new treatments.
