Intensive Care Foundation
Every day, life- saving miracles are performed in Intensive Care Units across Australia and New Zealand. Over 170,000 people including 6,000 children will be admitted to intensive care each year due to a life threatening accident or illness. Thats where the Intensive Care Foundation comes in. An established charity since 1990, the Foundation aims to improve the care of critically ill paitents by raising funds for vital clinical research projects as well as educating health professionals responsible for intensive care. Research in this area provides vital insights that ultimately can mean the difference between life and death.
