 Muscular Dystrophy Association of Western Australia The Muscular Dystrophy Association of WA (MDA WA) is a not for profit organisation and relies on the generosity of the Western Australian public and corporate community for its funding. MDA WA is dedicated to its mission and has evolved over the many years through the diligent and dedicated work of the staff and many volunteers. MDA WA provides a range of services including; Education, Conferences & Seminars, Research & Medical Treatment Information, Patient & Family Support Group, diagnosis, Kids Club, Equipment The Quokka Kids/Teens Club is a service provided to our members and their families to enable them to take part in every day activities, and special events that may be harder for them to organise or gain access to. The Club gives parents, teens and children affected, the opportunity to support each other and develop valuable friendships to last a life time. Monies raised also by MDAWA helps to fund the vital research into Muscular Dystrophies that is carried out at the Australian Neuromuscular Research Institute.
