TADVIC - Technology for Independent Living
TADVIC is an organisation whose volunteer members have a broad range of design, engineering and technical skills. The members design, construct or modify equipment for people with disabilities, provided no commercially available product or service will meet their needs. The service is provided free of charge. Clients need to reimburse the volunteers for out of pocket expenses. E.g. travel and raw materials costs. TADVIC is always looking for volunteers with a technical or trade background, that have access to a workshop, and some spare time to help others in their community. We have found that volunteers gain great satisfaction from coming up with new and inventive solutions to real and unusual problems. We also need financial assistance to provide health professioanl support to TADVUIC clients and volunteers.
